After the rhythm, the road, the release there was a different kind of gathering.
In the quiet after Tobago Carnival J’ouvert 2025, we hosted our first Rest & Refresh pilot experience. It wasn’t about keeping the energy going. It was about coming back down-gently, intentionally, together.
Guests arrived still carrying the hum of Carnival. Tired bodies, full hearts, overstimulated nervous systems. And for a few hours, we created space for something softer: stillness, care, nourishment, and rest.
This pilot wasn’t just an event. It was a glimpse into what it looks like to be held after the high. A reminder that recovery deserves just as much intention as celebration.
This is where D’Weekendr begins.
Some of our guests opted to start their day inland with a walk to a waterfall instead of reveling in the J’ouvert festivities in the island’s capital.

While the party veterans joined us at the river to reconnect and recharge in a low stim environment where everyone nestled into their spots to have their moments reconnecting with self and the earth.

Guests were served fresh cocoa tea in their little zones, prepared on the spot, to warm up their hearts and begin the reset journey.

We wandered, yapped, lounged around, and swam until it was time to reconnect with our bodies and realign mind, body and soul with the perfect yoga/deep stretch session.

After the sweetest savasana guests awakened a truly soulful lunch.

We winded down for the day massages on the riverbank.

We hope you catch us next time to unwind and reset
