Senior Assistance Policy

Purpose

This policy establishes the scope and limitations of senior travel companion and assistance services coordinated through D’Weekendr Leisure Hub.

Scope of Services

Senior assistance services may include:

• Airport assistance
• Accompaniment during excursions
• Transportation support
• Activity participation assistance
• Communication support
• Itinerary coordination
• General companionship
• Medication reminders

Services are intended for guests who remain capable of making their own decisions and participating voluntarily in activities.

Client Responsibility

Clients remain responsible for:

• Their own healthcare decisions
• Medication administration
• Personal finances
• Travel documentation
• Medical insurance
• Mobility equipment
• Emergency contacts

Family members or authorized representatives must disclose any relevant medical, mobility, cognitive, or accessibility concerns before booking.

Limitations

Senior companions are not:

• Nurses
• Caregivers
• Medical professionals
• Home health aides
• Personal care attendants

They may not provide:

• Medical treatment
• Personal hygiene assistance
• Bathing assistance
• Lifting or transferring guests
• Administration of medication
• Clinical monitoring

Fitness for Participation

Clients are responsible for ensuring they are physically and medically capable of participating in activities.

Certain tours, hikes, water-based experiences, or outdoor excursions may not be suitable for all guests.

Emergency Situations

In the event of illness or injury, companions may contact emergency services, family members, accommodation providers, or other appropriate contacts.

Any associated expenses remain the responsibility of the client or their representative.

Service Termination

D’Weekendr reserves the right to decline or discontinue services where a guest’s needs exceed the scope of the support being offered or where the safety of any party may be compromised.
