Child Supervision Policy
Purpose
This Child Supervision Policy outlines the responsibilities, limitations, and expectations relating to travel nanny, childcare support, and youth chaperone services coordinated through D’Weekendr Leisure Hub.
Scope of Services
Child supervision services may include:
- Accompanying children during excursions and activities
- Assisting with meals and snacks
- Providing age-appropriate engagement and activities
- Assisting with transportation logistics
- Supporting family travel experiences
- Monitoring children during agreed service periods
Services are provided by independent contractors unless otherwise stated.
Parent and Guardian Responsibility
Parents or legal guardians retain ultimate responsibility for the health, safety, wellbeing, and conduct of their child(ren) at all times.
Booking a travel nanny or chaperone does not transfer legal guardianship or parental authority to D’Weekendr or the assigned support professional.
Parents and guardians remain responsible for:
- Providing accurate emergency contact information
- Disclosing allergies, medical conditions, disabilities, behavioral concerns, or special requirements
- Providing required medications
- Making medical decisions
- Authorizing participation in activities
- Remaining reasonably accessible during service periods
Medical Emergencies
Support personnel may take reasonable action to seek emergency assistance if a child experiences illness, injury, or an urgent medical situation.
Any costs associated with treatment, transportation, or emergency care remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Behavioral Expectations
D’Weekendr reserves the right to refuse or terminate services if a child’s behavior presents a risk to themselves, other participants, support personnel, or members of the public.
Restricted Services
Travel nannies and chaperones do not provide:
- Medical treatment
- Nursing care
- Therapy services
- Professional counseling
- Legal guardianship
- Specialized behavioral intervention
Service Refusal
D’Weekendr and assigned personnel reserve the right to decline bookings that exceed the scope of the service or where adequate support cannot be reasonably provided.
